Appointment Booking System Changes Posted on 8 Feb 2017

Please be aware that as from Monday 3rd April 2017 we will no longer be accepting appointment bookings in person at the front desk until after 09.30am and our appointment options will be changing to take account of current patient access.  

Also do not be offended if our reception team ask you for details about your condition when requesting any type of appointment.  The reception team have been requested by the clinicians to ask such questions in order to help them prioritise cases and get you to the right person.  

In line with current clinical guidelines patients should be aware that our clinicians do not routinely prescribe antibiotics for colds and viruses.  Your local pharmacist can provide you with good advice and treatment for these conditions. 

NHS 111 can also provide you with advice or you can find written guidance on the NHS Choices website www.nhs.uk 

If you are calling about your prescription please note that you need to provide us with at least 48 hours written notice to enable your prescription request to be processed and up to 72 hours’ notice if you wish to pick this up from your chosen pharmacy. 

Finally we would like to remind you that we will NOT tolerate our staff, or other patients, being spoken to in a rude or abusive manner. The practice will not hesitate to take further action in such circumstances.
